Sure, it’s a lot of talking…
But that’s what people do. We talk!
When no one else is around, we talk to ourselves.
We talk to people who aren’t there.
We remember conversations… we rehearse conversations.
But here’s the problem: Too many of our conversations don’t go anywhere. Or they don’t go anywhere good… or anywhere real (especially conversations with ourselves).
I make sure our conversations go somewhere.
That’s why you’ll leave our sessions feeling differently…
Thinking differently…
Acting differently…
Therapy shows you there’s a better way – a light at the end of the tunnel. You’ll see that we can work with what you got… and that you have what it takes.
Going beyond labels…
You may have a diagnosis like depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, anxious-avoidant attachment style, PTSD… the list goes on and on.
Those labels (and the insurance codes that go with them) don’t tell me anything about YOU or what’s best for your life.
I appreciate your diagnosis, but you’re NOT your diagnosis.
Let’s look at your life holistically and come up with positive solutions that work.
My approach is unique…
That’s what a therapy veteran once told me.
I appreciate the therapies with the acronyms such as CBT, DBT, ACT, MBT, IFS, and EMDR. They’re great! I employ them when your situation calls for them. They have their place and purpose, and they must be applied with a sensitivity to your uniqueness – your humanity – and what works for you.
I keep the focus…
On your problems, your questions, your needs…
On your dreams and your possibilities…
I keep the focus on where you want to go… and what you can do to get there.
Therapy is not just about solving problems – it is about finding the parts of you that are curious, free, compassionate, creative, and playful.
It is about connecting with other people, and connecting with your freedom, curiosity, and your joy.
It is about being more authentic in every aspect of your life.
When you find you, it is a safe, stable, and powerful place to be.
It’s time to get real.
What are you avoiding? What do you want? How can you have better friends? What can you do to improve your relationships?

About Me
It took a long time for me to get here.
I had a career and family many people would consider very successful. But the journey hasn’t been smooth at all. I have had plenty of mistakes and misfortunes, and I am still standing and still learning.
Running a business for decades that spanned many nations and cultures taught me a lot about other people – and myself. It gave me a wide window into the world, and it challenged (often painfully) many of my assumptions and decisions.
Business really is a laboratory for testing ideas against reality!
All this to say…
I’ve been out in the world and struggled – the same world you’re living in now (maybe even with the exact problems you’re currently facing).
Therapy skills and theories are great, but I recognize that there are more important things to be successful with your partner, family, children, and friends. I know that your home and community are where your most important needs really get met – where your most important values are brought to life.
Now that I’m a bit older, I’m interested in helping others improve their lives. I’m so lucky to connect to good people and lend them my life experience so they can live more interesting, authentic lives.
